mudpie leading the eco concious trend
28/08/08
Mudpie is proud of its eco credentials and is dedicated to reducing their carbon footprint on this planet of ours. With the launch of their Spring Summer 2010 fashion trends ‘Conscious Creative’ just around the corner, the trend is visible not just in lifestyle choices and business decisions, but also apparent in our fashion choices too.
Mudpie is marking the launch of their news season’s trends with a more focused green initiative, which sees ‘Conscious Creative’ become part of the Mudpie Brand DNA.
Ben Harris, Director and share holder says “Mudpie is very conscious of its responsibilities to the environment and work hard to consistently produce quality standards that are environmentally friendly. We are proud to be a green minded company and continuously look for new ways to reduce our carbon footprint, both through travel, products and eco friendly enterprise, even running internal staff competitions for creative energy saving initiatives”
Many new initiatives have been rolled out and steps in the green direction have been taken by Mudpie in recent years and include improvements and changes to all their products and services, and even their in-house general business practices.
Mudpie is leading a trend for slower, more environmentally conscious travel and a change in company policy means train journeys are favoured over flying to Europe to promote their brand.
Mudpie’s online trend intelligence resource, mpdclick.com, has offset its data storage carbon footprint with the planting of trees by the “Tree Foundation” in proportion the amount of data stored.
As a publisher of quality trend products, Mudpie strive to make their printed products as eco-friendly as possible. Working with their suppliers and printers to produce environmentally conscious products, they have achieved a green solution for our products without compromising the quality of our products. The business also actively recycles and encourages staff to do so too.
All Mudpie’s surplus stock is sent out free of charge to Fashion degree courses around the UK, rather than binned, a practise which offers a great free resource to hardworking students.
As well as this, we work with the childrenswear brand Kite Kids http://www.kite-kids.co.uk/ an eco friendly brand, offering organic fashion ranges.
