mudpie's presence strengthening across the globe

19/1/2009

The beginning of 2009 will see UK's leading trend forecasting agency, Mudpie, take its place on the global centre stage. Instead of cutting travel and trade fair budgets, as the world sinks deeper into a dark economic climate, Mudpie are investing in brand exposure and proving to the world that their products provide the affordable answer to the fashion industry, worldwide.

During the first quarter of 2009, Mudpie will themselves exhibit and present their trends at no fewer than ten trade fairs across four continents. Locations include Sao Paulo, Guadalajara, Las Vegas, Moscow, Copenhagen, Beijing, Paris, Munich, Barcelona and Florence.

The recent launch of offices in Australia and Brasil has provided Mudpie with open lines of communication to various markets across the world. Add to that the drive of their Sales Director, Ben Harris, and Mudpie's vast network of agents across the globe, and Mudpie will dominate the busy trade fair season this winter.

Fiona Jenvey, CEO of Mudpie, said, "The economic down turn is having an interesting result for Mudpie. Currently we are seeing significant growth, and have responded by introducing a new title, 'Print & Pattern Trends,' in February this year. It seems that with a small creative team, many companies have realized that it is important to invest in vital trend information. The Mudpie trendbooks are ideal because they are so easy to use and editable, speeding up the work of the designer rather than slowing it down."

It is not just Mudpie's printed products that are doing well. Fiona continued by saying that "Mpdclick is expected to double its subscriber base, again the downturn is helping us here. Some of our competitors are much more expensive, so the trend is to cut back on other online services and subscribe to Mpdclick and other more cost effective solutions, a statement that some of our subscribers such as JC Penny (USA), ASDA (UK) and Trois Suisse (Europe) would probably agree with."

Mudpie Ltd, founded by Fiona Jenvey, brings together an international creative team of designers and trend analysts working on adult, youth and children's market directions and apparel. The Mudpie network spans 50 countries, including a large graphic and textile design consultancy based in the UK.

Mudpie, started 18 years ago, is focused on providing the industry with good quality design in the best format for the user. Their three brands include Mpdclick, a leading commercial online fashion trend forecasting service, Mudpie Trendbooks, a leading range of colour, garment, print and graphic forecasting books, and Mudpie Consultancy, a bespoke design solution to perfectly suit client's design and trend needs.

Ben Harris, Sales Director at Mudpie, will himself attend Bread & Butter, Pitti Bimbo, CIFFkids and CPM Moscow.

Ben Harris comments, "We are very excited about our presence at Bread & Butter Barcelona, Pitti Bimbo, CPM and CIFF. We always enjoy the opportunity to meet potential new clients and introduce them to our fantastic range of services. As a business we recognise the importance of meeting with and listening to the changing needs of the client, in order to develop and promote the world's leading fashion trend information services."

Fiona Jenvey will also be busy this season, travelling from Mexico to Munich, Paris to Las Vegas, and everywhere in between, to promote Mudpie's products and present her astounding trend forecasting knowledge, research and predictions for the SS10 season.

"This year will be a very busy season for me - travelling internationally to do seminars, but this is not just about branding, it's about staying in touch with the customer - after all, without the loyalty of our clients, Mudpie and Mpdclick would not be where they are today," says Fiona.
