mudpie cast their seminar net over the global market

It has been another busy seminar season for Mudpie which saw their inspiring and informative womenswear, menswear and childrenswear seminars presented in more than ten cities across seven countries over a period of three months. The spring/summer 2010 trends have captivated audiences of up to 800 at a time and have proven, yet again, that Mudpie is a world leader in trend forecasting, research and analysis.

The season started in Sao Paulo, Brasil, where Fiona Jenvey presented ‘Creative Utopia – SS10 trends’ to audiences in 2 locations. Following the success of this second trip to Brasil in 12 months, Mudpie are pleased to announce the opening of Mudpie Brasil, in partnership with Guelfi Representacoes.

In quick succession, leading up to Christmas, Fiona also presented the trends in both Bangkok and New York City. Bangkok was also treated to a 2 day business seminar and workshop delivered by Fiona, in conjunction with mode…information and the Thailand Creative Design Center.

In New York, OPR hosted their seasonal Colour and Trend Forum at FIT, where Fiona presented the Mudpie men’s, women’s and children’s trends, alongside Laurie Pressman, Vice President of Pantone Fashion, Home & Interiors and Elgin Schmelzer & Thorsten Graeff, Owners/Creative Directors of ready-made.

January saw Fiona travel to Guadalajara and Mexico City to deliver trend presentations at Intermoda and the Mexican National Creative Centre, both locations drew large audiences who were equally inspired by Mudpie’s womenswear, menswear and childrenswear trend presentations.

During February, Fiona presented at Munich Fabric Start in conjunction with Gottfried Pank of mode…information, Germany, which supported their collaboration efforts with MFS to bring attendees the Girl and Boy Scout colour trends for the show.

At Sourcing at MAGIC, Las Vegas, Mudpie had record attendees whilst on the other side of the world, Ben Harris, newly appointed Sales Director for Mudpie, presented at Modtissimo in Portugal for the first time. The presentation was a huge success and introduced many new customers to Mudpie’s trend expertise and supporting products. Ben followed Portugal with an equally successful trend presentation to audiences at Collection Premiere in Moscow (CPM).

The beginning of this month saw Fiona present at Design Wales, for the closer to home UK audience, and to close off the SS10 season, Mudpie’s trend seminars will be presented across three days at Globaltex, Los Angeles at the end of April.

Fiona commented, “The seminars are one of the most important aspects of my role as CEO. Mudpie is based in the UK, and 90 percent of our customers are based overseas, so the seminar is not only an opportunity to talk to our customer, but listen to them too, something that is all too important in the current economic climate.”
