Mudpie's new partner in Brasil, Mudpie Brasil - Guelfi Representacoes, has been busy exhibiting on the trade fair circuit in São Paulo since the beginning of the year.

Motivated by increased interest in Mudpie's online trend intelligence subscription website, Mpdclick.com, plus the continuing strong printed Trendbook sales, as well as the encouraging new partnership and support from the Mudpie UK office, Mudpie-Brasil have been busy exhibiting at shows such as Couromoda, Fenim and Fematex.

19-22nd Jan - Held once a year, COUROMODA - International Shoes, Sportsgoods and Leathergoods Fair, is the most important business event of the footwear and leathergoods industry in Latin America, and the most prestigious and representative fair of the market sector.

Its 1,200 exhibitors are responsible for 90% of the Brasilian production and this year, they presented more than 3,000 brands, featuring the most complete footwear and leathergoods fashion, technology and marketing sampling for retailers and importers.

Spread 82 thousand square meters of the Anhembi Exhibition Pavilion, in the city of São Paulo, Couromoda brings together the actual decision makers of the industry and the retail market. It hosts professionals from all the branches of activities, leaders, politicians and authorities of the economic area.

27-30th Jan - Fenim, created back in 1990, and held in the city of Gramado-RS, focuses on the Autumn Winter market. The fair has existed as an annual event for 12 years, thus consolidating itself as one of the largest apparel and clothing industry professional fairs in Brasil.

Important manufacturers of Brasil's apparel industry gathered under one roof with particular focus this year on womenswear, menswear and childrenswear. The fair is co-organised by Brazilian Textile & Apparel Industry Association (ABIT), APEX-Brazil and EXPOVEST.

3-6th Feb - Fematex - Trade Fair of Materials for Textile and Clothing Industry - brings together modern concepts and the launching of special yarns, fabrics, accessories and implements, printing, embroidery, chemicals, technology, machinery, equipments and services.

With the intention of being an information and trends trade fair, Fematex is specially directed towards fashion creation and production. The purpose of the event is to integrate the values of creation, offering a large variety of new products, from several different sectors of the textile industry, as a contribution for fashion industries to gain added value.

The event is promoted by Sintex - Spinning, Weaving and Clothing Industries Union of Blumenau - and organized by Vale Feira & Eventos. Fematex took place at "Parque Vila Germânica", in Blumenau (Santa Catarina), Brasil.

Both domestic and international companies exhibited this year, launching innovations concerning yarns, fabrics, implements, chemicals, machinery, equipments and other products or services connected to the segment.

Visitors included professionals involved in the production, marketing, stores, creation and product development from small, medium and large companies of all fashion areas.
