It appears that Stylesight's 'Series A' financing with Fidelity Ventures for USD $16 million of capital to help facilitate its international expansion has indeed helped the company stamp its territory in Europe by opening new offices in Regent's Street's Liberty House. Mudpie, the creator of Mpdclick.com, are investing all their own profit directly back into their product to continue providing more and more relevant and accurate trend predictions and market, brand, retail and fashion intelligence to their subscribers. Mudpie, who do plan to retain their sales office in London, will also look to grow their business even further by keeping their head office based outside of London - beneficial in keeping operating costs down. "Mpdclick's sales have risen 67% in the last year. Our mission is to listen to our customers and then invest solidly in providing them with the best online global trend intelligence product on the market," Fiona Jenvey, CEO of Mudpie and Mpdclick, originally from London, commented from the Mudpie Studio office on the South Coast of England. "Rather than increase our overheads by moving into expensive real estate, we strategically decided that the best investment for us was in Mpdclick and our customers." Regardless of where these companies are based, Stylesight and Mpdclick are really opening up the online trend forecasting business, showing that there are alternatives to WGSN, the longest running online service in the industry. |
