mudpie release the first two trendbooks under new mudpie/denimhead collaboration
23/11/2009
Following the announcement in September of its alliance with US trend specialist Denimhead, to publish and distribute its printed and online products, Mudpie are pleased to announce the launch of the first two trendbooks within the Denimhead series since their collaboration; The Bottom Line and Denimhead East.
Denimhead is a cutting edge fashion service specializing in denim and casual sportswear. Its books and online service provide the most recent photographs from fashion capitals throughout the world and include original sketches for inspiration - both of which are intended to help with the design process.
The Bottom Line A/W10/11 features large digital photographs with detail close-up shots of denim and casual sportswear from Paris, Rome, Amsterdam and London. Additionally, an editorial section provides current trend direction, wash information and retail selling observations from each city.
Denimhead East A/W10/11 features large digital color photographs with detailed close-up shots of denim and casual sportswear from Tokyo. Additionally, an editorial section provides current trend insight, trend forecasts and retail selling observations from Tokyo. Also included is a two page spread showing close up shots of tack buttons, back pockets and back patches.
Both books are accompanied by two DVD's which include every photo in the book, vector technical sketches created in Adobe Illustrator CS2 format and all the book content - retail photos, runway photos, flat sketches and figure drawings, along with additional category photos.
The Bottom Line and Denimhead East's content currently remains unchanged, but from March 2010, the Denimhead books will look more like a Mudpie trendbook, and all products will be accompanied by Mudpie's professional, organisation, customer service, communication and sales and marketing support.
Jill Perilman, founder and CEO of Denimhead will still be the creative force behind the Denimhead books and online service, but they will now be delivered as part of the Mudpie range and will strengthen Mudpie's position as the trend forecasting choice of the discerning designer.
March through to May 2010 sees the release of the spring summer 2011 trendbooks, including the much anticipated launch of the first edition of Denimhead West - the USA collection in print.
Denimhead's online service, denimhead.com, now contains runway direction for denim and casual sportswear and trend direction for the coming season and is the perfect addition to Mudpie's already successful online trend forecasting service, www.mpdclick.com. The two combined products are set to put Mudpie on the map as one of the leading providers of global trend forecasting services.
