mudpie welcomes a record number of over 900 visitors to its stand at première vision
17/2/2010
On Tuesday 8th February Première Vision opened its doors once again and unveiled its new white décor, with turquoise (Pantone's colour of the season) and slick black carpets; the theme perfectly complemented Mudpie's new look stand. Première Vision was a huge success for Mudpie, with the highest recorded number of visitors to a single stand, Mudpie welcomed over 900 guests to its larger, open and more relaxed stand to see the range of products and services, and gain a preview into some of the latest enhancements to its online service, Mpdclick. Following the success of its online trend forecasting service, Mpdclick, which saw a 72% increase in subscriptions during the past year, Mudpie expanded its stand presence at Première Vision with twice the floor space. With its inviting, white seating area, counters full of exciting trend products and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere, the larger Mudpie stand proved an irresistible draw for visitors to the show. Guests were welcomed to the stand with coffee and biscuits and maybe it was this appeal that drew visitors to Mudpie, meaning that they had to bring additional staff over from the UK to cope with the increased stand traffic. A feeling of 'bleisure', mixing business with leisure was very apparent at the show, with increased refreshment and meeting areas, and many stands choosing to incorporate seating areas and a relaxed approach to previewing products. Visitors to each brand were able to browse at their leisure, whilst learning a little more before making that all important purchase. With attendance, sales, seminars and promotion all off to a successful start throughout the entire show, Philippe Pasquet, CEO of Première Vision commented "we did it! In spite of the economic crisis, Première Vision carried through on its major architectural project and we have a new, modern, luminous and soothing environment to turn our backs on the economic downturn by providing a new setting for your business". The mood amongst visitors seemed optimistic and sales from the fair were the strongest ever taken in all of Mudpie's seven seasons of exhibiting at Première Vision. Mudpie's International team of representatives came from all over the world to support us during the fair and seemed to attract a broad and varied range of nationalities, with people coming from more than 38 different countries to see us. Sales Director, Ben Harris said “we were extremely pleased with the success of sales and contacts made as this season's show, which resulted in subscriptions to Mpdclick, sales of our trendbooks, including the newly released MPD Active, for the sportswear market and Print & Pattern Trends for the autumn/winter 11/12 season all being sold during the show. Our newly launched MPD Trends magazine also received a very positive response and was sold to many new clients on the stand.” Despite day two of the show kicking off to a difficult start with the RER railway system breaking down and subsequently delaying visitors to the show, Mudpie's CEO, Fiona Jenvey hosted a trend seminar to a full audience, providing attendees with an essential insight into graphics, prints, garments and colour trends for the coming season. Don't miss Mudpie at the next edition of Première Vision from 14 – 16 September 2010 |
