mudpie’s trend seminars a big hit in poland

Mudpie’s first visit to the Next Season fashion fairs (including Fast Fashion, Body Style and Tex-Style) in Poland created a lot of interest with key brands in the Polish market. The trend seminar made by Sales Director, Ben Harris covered both autumn winter 10/11 and spring summer 11 seasons, providing attendees with an essential insight into graphics, prints, garments and colour trends for the seasons. An audience of almost 100 gathered for the events including designers from some of Poland’s biggest apparel brands, many of whom travelled to Poznan especially to participate in the seminars and was even attended by Maria Nowakowska, Miss Poland herself!

Elzbieta Olszewska of Moda i Wiedza, Mudpie’s partner in Poland comments, “the participants were a mix of current customers of Moda i Wiedza and Mudpie, but also many professionals seeking a new source of inspiration and therefore interested in having a closer look at what Mudpie has to offer to them, as well as journalists from the most influential fashion trade press within Poland. The feedback we received was positive and we are very much looking forward to pursuing all kinds of business with the companies who visited the stand and the seminars. Generally, the show clearly indicated that the Polish market is in need of the best quality trend information and inspiration and Mudpie's and Moda i Wiedza's presence at the fairs catered to that need successfully."

As well as this there was considerable media interest at the event with Ben Harris making a number of interviews with local, national and state run television networks and also appearing as a guest speaker at a televised panel debate, which focused on the success of the Polish fashion industry and the current market, speaking alongside some key figures within the apparel industry.

The fair was extremely well organised and pre-show marketing had clearly been successful as the number of visitors has grown and meant that Mudpie and Moda i Wiedza enjoyed a very busy three days. The stand was visited by number of designers and other representatives of companies from various different sectors including women's, men's and children’s apparel to fabric and accessories manufacturers.
