premiere vision attracts overseas buyers (fra)

07/03/2008

The Première Vision trade fair took place from the 19th-22nd February and the number of visitors rose by 1.5% totaling 48,483 over the four days. International visitor numbers continued to increase, where 30% came from overseas. A great turnout was seen from countries such as Asia, China and India, who stood out with a +24.7% growth in visitors, and Japan still maintains its position as one of the leading visiting countries with over 1,800 attendees.

For the third season in a row, Mudpie presented their products to the Premiere Vision audience. With their innovative branding and new-look stand, Mudpie showed off their bespoke design consultancy service, their full range of SS09 children’s and youth fashion trendbooks, plus their increasingly popular online global fashion trend intelligence website, mpdclick.com.

Fiona Jenvey CEO Mudpie Design comments about the growth of overseas visitors: ‘It is interesting that the visitor numbers from India have increased by as much as 24%. We noticed a huge number of visitors from India visiting our stand. Visitors from Asia were paying particular attention to our online service mpdclick.com, which is an essential research tool for designers and manufacturers who are exporting garments into Europe and the USA. Our agent for India, Rajesh Jain, the marketing manager of the Bombay Subscription Agency was very busy showing potential customers our online service and trend books.’

The next Première Vision show in Paris will take place from the 23th-26th September 2008 showcasing the latest autumn/winter 09-10 season.
